Camden McEfee's clients benefit from a career spent blending campaign, public policy and public-sector management. He's applied this model successfully as a senior advisor to two different governors and at some of the state's most influential corporations.

Camden McEfee is instrumental in helping a variety of businesses, industries and not-for-profit organizations successfully address the challenges and obstacles posed by the public process at all levels. He also provides strategic advice to those pursuing business opportunities through public-private partnerships and procurement.

His leadership, in both client service and within the firm as its managing director, extends from his deep executive-level and statewide campaign, policy and governance experience. In 1995, McEfee was appointed Chief Deputy Cabinet Secretary to Governor Pete Wilson, serving as the chief liaison to 12 state agencies and 70 state departments. His broad policy portfolio included oversight of general business issues, economic development, labor relations, emergency management, major state procurement programs, information technology, and the state lottery.

McEfee also served as Special Assistant to Governor Wilson's Chief of Staff, California Strategies founder Bob White, handling executive and legislative matters. At the time, he was the youngest person to be appointed to such a post by Wilson. McEfee was tasked with creating the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness Sports. Once established, McEfee represented the Governor on the 15-member board, working closely with its new chairman, Arnold Schwarzenegger. In 1998, McEfee was presented the "Distinguished Service Award" by Schwarzenegger and Wilson for his leadership on this project.

This collective experience in the Wilson Administration built his reputation as an effective well-organized team member who could manage critical responsibilities, from organizing trade missions to the Far East to developing gubernatorial responses to major breaking news events.

Following his service in the Wilson Administration, McEfee reconnected with Schwarzenegger in his campaign to develop and pass Proposition 49, the After School Education and Safety Act of 2002. McEfee was a member of the three-person consulting team that was responsible for the strategy, message development and management of the successful statewide campaign.

As a co-founder of California Strategies, McEfee has also helped engineer the firm's growth from its early beginnings to its current status as one of California's most prominent public affairs firm with offices and principals across the state.

He graduated from the University of Southern California, and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two daughters.

Thank you for your amazing hard work and dedication to make Prop 49 succeed. Without you, I could never have done it. Thanks.
