As our partners Victor Franco and Jim Brulte shared with the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Register, Michael was someone you’d never know was the son of President Ronald Reagan—he was simply an everyday dad, deeply involved in his community, generous with his time, and always willing to help others.

Whether supporting school fundraisers, mentoring students, or chatting with parents at a BBQ, Michael Reagan showed how humility and humanity can transcend politics. He will be remembered as a good man who made those around him feel welcome.

“I met Michael when my son was attending school at St. Mel’s Catholic School in Woodland Hills in 2014. He was very generous in fundraising at the school, offering tours of the Reagan Ranch and participating in school events. He would even speak to kids at the school’s career day.”

Additional coverage of Michael Reagan’s life and legacy can be found in the Los Angeles Times, which details the bipartisan praise he earned throughout California.

“He was a good man with a big heart who loved America. And he was a crowd favorite. He knew how to connect with everyone in the room.”

— Jim Brulte, former California Republican Party Chairman

The Orange County Register also reported on Reagan’s decades-long role as a conservative commentator and political advocate.
