Ms. Lina Bernal joined California Strategies & Advocacy in 2015 with more than 15 years of association management and advocacy experience. Ms. Bernal’s primary responsibilities include the management of organizational duties and procedures for the California Association of Port Authorities and the California Airports Council, including meeting planning and logistics, federal regulatory reporting, and oversight of compliance requirements. Additionally, Ms. Bernal manages all legislative monitoring functions.
Ms. Bernal began her career in marketing, working for a subscription electronic legislative tracking service, and subsequently a retail software developer. Ms. Bernal also served as an Account Administrator for California Advocates Management Services.
Ms. Bernal was born and raised in northern California and graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. She has been a volunteer at the Sacramento Crisis Nursery since 2011 and is versed in Spanish and Ilocano, a Filipino dialect. She enjoys wine tasting, traveling and spending time with her family and their rescue dog, Felix.
