California Strategies’ Central Coast office, led by David Armanasco, with assistance from Rusty Areias, recently helped secure a $111 million award from the California Water Resources Control Board, via the Regional Water Board, for the City of Greenfield’s new wastewater treatment plant, as reported by the Monterey County Weekly below:

Their work helped secure the necessary financing for a wastewater plant that can treat 2 million gallons per day.

Development in Greenfield has long been constrained by an undersized and outdated wastewater treatment plant. On April 14, the Greenfield City Council approved a transformative financing agreement with the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board that helps move the project forward.

The $111.3 million project secured a $75 million forgivable loan, reducing the City’s financed share to $36.3 million at 2.2% over 30 years. This breakthrough clears the way for construction of a new facility capable of treating 2 million gallons per day — creating new opportunities for housing, business growth, and long-term community investment.

Congratulations to the leadership of Greenfield, and to David Armanasco and Rusty Areias for helping deliver this important win.
