“She has the ability to make things happen by making suggestions, and then letting people adopt them as their own... She is good at making people move in a direction with seemingly no coercion when, in fact, they have been rather gently nudged along and made to feel it's really their idea.”

- Governor Pete Wilson

Joanne Kozberg has held senior positions in state government and some of the state’s most prominent educational and arts institutions, making her a skilled advisor for the public and private sectors, as well as non-profit organizations.

Joanne Corday Kozberg joined California Strategies in January 2003 and opened the firm’s Los Angeles office. During a career of more than 35 years, she has held numerous positions in the public, not-for-profit and private sectors, earning a reputation as an effective manager and insightful counselor in the areas of organizational transformation, competitiveness, resource development, regulatory reform, and governance.

On behalf of Governor Wilson, she launched and led the Construction Industry Roundtable, the Governor’s Council on Information Technology, and the Competitive Government Task Force, which was initiated to create a transformation plan to reduce bureaucracy and increase positive results in state government. She also led the Task Force on Camarillo State Hospital Reuse.
