Lily Mackay

Associate

Lily started as an Associate at California Strategies and Advocacy in January of 2020. Prior to joining CalStrat, she worked at Unearth, a digital public affairs firm as an account executive where she managed projects, created content, and created reports explaining campaign metrics for a variety of clients. Her background in client services and digital media combined with experience in the State Capitol brings a unique blend of skills to the CalStrat team.

After moving to Sacramento from the LA area, Lily worked in the Capitol as a scheduler and legislative assistant for Assemblymember Brian Dahle, Assemblymember Dante Acosta, and Senator Scott Wilk. Her areas of focus as a legislative aide included several different facets of human services, specifically running legislation for in home care support for families in need and foster youth care. She also co-founded the California Republican Women’s Association for female staffers in the building, and is invested in working with similar groups to promote the bipartisan appointment of women to leadership positions.

Mackay received her Bachelor’s degree in violin performance from Azusa Pacific University, graduating with honors.
