Friends, colleagues, elected officials, and leaders from across California gathered to celebrate the Capitol Weekly Top 100 Party where Bob White was inducted into the Capitol Weekly Hall of Fame.
Though Bob was unable to attend the event, he remains an essential leader at California Strategies, a firm he founded nearly 30 years ago.
Colleagues noted Bob’s remarkable career and the lasting impact he has had on the state’s political and governmental landscape. The honor reflected not only on Bob’s professional accomplishments, but also on the qualities that have earned him respect across party lines—his integrity, hiring intuition, humility, generosity, and ability to bring people together.
California Strategies Managing Partner Camden McEfee was joined onstage by Partner Michael Bustamante as they highlighted Bob’s unique approach to public affairs, noting that his success has always been rooted in authentic relationships, thoughtful counsel, and a genuine commitment to helping clients and communities succeed. Michael Bustamante spoke about Bob’s willingness to invest in others, emphasizing his mentorship, collaborative leadership style, and enduring commitment to opening doors for the next generation of leaders.
Leading up to the event, political insiders described Bob as someone who listens first, treats people with respect, and has consistently demonstrated that lasting influence is built on credibility, civility, and relationships.
Reflecting on the recognition, Bob shared:
“I am deeply honored to be recognized by Capitol Weekly and humbled to join so many individuals whose contributions have helped shape California. Any success I’ve enjoyed has always been the result of working alongside remarkable colleagues, clients, public officials, and friends. I’m especially grateful to the California Strategies family, whose talent, integrity, and commitment to our clients continue to inspire me every day.”
